Othello by Omar Sangare is situated in modern times. William Shakespeare’s man of success explores the values of faith and love. His inner peace is poisoned by his friend, Iago, who implies that Othello’s wife, Desdemona, is unfaithful. For the title character, the story of one evening becomes turning point of his life.

One of the most popular Polish actresses, Agata Buzek, appears as a Desdemona. The picture is filed with criminal suspense, and cut in a mood of poetry formed by mystery characters, frequent close-ups, and ambiance music.

The director is delivering existential questions. How to survive in the world full of incidental fortune, and essential enemies? How to full fill our dreams? How to reach the sense of happiness? And how to be able to stand up for it? These are the questions of nowadays people.
